United States, Civil War Covers & Letters Balance. 7 items, including 4 patriotics with attractive designs, a soldier's letter, another on Patriotic letterhead datelined "Fort Gaines, Sept 6th / 62 "starts "I am lying on the ground with a cartridge box for a writing desk and surrounded by messmates all talking"; another from soldier's wife with Baltimore cds; and a Confederate cover franked with #11 tied by bold "Albany, Ga., Feb 11, 1864" cds; interesting lot, covers in mixed condition.
