Nearly 250 stamps, neatly displayed and annotated on quadrille pages, virtually all are Chalon Heads, nice group of imperfs in many shades, with duplication; perforated issues arranged by perf and watermark and many shades; some lovely bright examples, overall attractive, close evaluation by the specialist recommended, huge catalog value, please inspect.

Massive study of the early issues, with 250 or so imperfs from 2rs blue to 16s violet, many identified by printing (1st to 4th) and shades including some scarce examples, some in pairs and strips, followed by 100 or so of the Royal Emblem and numeral designs perforated issues, also with some multiples; a wealth of cancels to be studied, couple covers, huge catalog value, occasional mint stamp, mixed condition, please examine carefully.

Neatly arranged on quadrille pages, 137 stamps altogether, with #1 & 2 "Shield in Oval" design, some pen cancelled, several with town cancels, a few cut to shape, several reprints or forgeries; many serpentine roulettes, some with all teeth intact, most with circular and a few with rectangular postmarks; duplicated values to 1m yellow brown; a few of the 1875 perforated issues; mixed condition to be expected, still very worthwhile group.
