Collection of over 40 covers, spanning nearly 50 years of the Presidency, beginning with very scarce March 4, 1929, Herbert Hoover with interesting cachet; several March 4, 1933, covers including a cachet autographed by John Nance Garner (Roosevelt's first VP); Jan 20 1945 for FDR's 4th Inauguration on Staehle cachet and another; April 12 1945 FDR's death and Harry S. Truman's swearing in, with Dorothy Knapp cachet & Staehle cachet; Jan 20 1949 Truman Inaugural on nice cachet; thereafter covers for Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, Ford, Rockefeller (VP), Carter, Reagan, Bush I & Clinton; excellent group generally VF, most unaddressed.

Selection of Covers, 1851-1983. 30 covers, ranging from lovely 4 margin #10 plated with Cumberland, Md., cds; #11 Maine to Minnesota Territory; couple stampless, one with red "cogwheel 10" handstamp; pair #17 on cover to England; several Wells, Fargo & Co. covers including Marysville on 3¢ Nesbitt entire, Stockton & Los Angeles with blue oval handstamps; Watsonville & Eureka, Humboldt Bay; couple U.S. Signal Corps telegrams from Philippines; 1912 Fort McKinley Philippines to Tientsin with Shanghai transits, etc; 1919 A.E.F. Siberia censor #C2 marking with War Department Siberia corner card; 1930 Bremen catapult cover; couple bisects; 3 Chicago Zeppelin flight covers franked with C18's with Miami, Akron & Chicago postmarks; rare Sep 23 1946 United Nations Lake Success meter and attractive cachet; and finally 1983 NASA Challenger flight cover franked with $9.35 Express Mail adhesive with souvenir folder.

Various Better Covers. Over a dozen items including an 1850 stampless folded letter from Valparaiso, Chile, to Maine with "Steam Ship" and "30" postal markings, an 1856 folded letter from Maine to Nova Scotia with 1851 10¢ tied, an 1863 cover (legal size) from Dallas, Oregon, to England underpaid with 1861 10¢ x 6 and still delivered postage due, an 1865 folded letter from San Francisco to England franked with 1861 3¢ and 5¢ x 5 and 10¢ x 2 (double 24¢ rate), an 1865 folded letter from New Orleans to France franked with 1861 5¢ and 10c, a similar folded letter from New York, an 1868 cover to Scotland franked with 1861 24¢, a Civil War union patriotic used from Port Royal, South Carolina, two covers and a postcard franked with 1¢ or 2¢ Parcel Post stamps (the postcard with a 1¢ is a July 1, 1913, first day of use on first class mail), and an 1814 handwritten bill from the postmaster at Albany, New York, for postage due on letters received by Major General George Izard during the War of 1812 (with appended notation showing payment received), Very Fine overall.

R.F. Overprints, 1945. Collection of 10 air mail entires overprinted "R.F.", mostly in script letters, three on 6¢ orange entires, one with "Navale Poste 3-7 45" and Controlé seal and oval green "Ouvert" handstamp; several different R.F. types on "Air 6¢ Mail" boxed surcharges on 2¢ red entires, some with the Poste Navale postmark; some newspaper clippings on the subject accompany.

Pioneer Postcards. 23 postal cards (UX10, UX12, or UX14) with pictures privately printed on the backs, three unused, one written but unmailed, one unwritten but postally used 1898, and 18 written and postally used 1893-1899 with three used domestically and 16 uprated and mailed to Europe (one uprated with 1890 2¢, 10 with 1894 or 1895 1¢, one with 1894 or 1895 2¢, two with 1898 1¢, one with 1898 1¢ Trans-Mississippi, and one with stamp missing), views include Coney Island, New York (eight, three multicolored and two bicolored), Niagara Falls (eight, three different designs), Philadelphia, Plymouth, and Washington, a few with bends, one soiled, F.-V.F. overall.
