Very early group of covers & other items, beginning with several covers with French postmarks of the 1855 Exposition Universalle at Paris; there are several highlights including 1862 London International Exhibition postmark on cover to New York with markings; several covers of the 1867 Paris Universal Exposition on official envelope with blue free frank for the Imperial Commission, another on Chamber of Commerce envelope with exposition postmark and dotted diamond cancel with "EU" at center; 1863 Leipzig postmark with boxed "Turn-Fest-Platz / Leipzig"; 1865 fancy envelope with straight line "Dresden 25. Juli 1865" and red oval "Sanger / Fest Platz / with post horn" and numerous other postmarks front and back; 1873 Vienna International Exhibition with cover of "U.S. Dept. of Machinery / Vienna Exposition / T.R.
