Straight line postmark with manuscript state & date tying one of two 1851 3¢ dull red (small flaws) on folded cover to Maine adhesives additionally tied by grid cancels, endorsed manuscript "Paid 6 cts" and manuscript "Due" & "10" handstamp as this was rated as a double rate cover, Very Fine and rare, a rare early California straight line, particularly tying a stamp, Cover illustrated in color in Coburn's Letters of Gold (page 236).
