Tied by "Washington, D.C., May 20" cds and quartered cork duplexes on 1865 Consulate General of Switzerland corner card cover paying the double drop rate fee, to the U.S. Insane Asylum, with original enclosure mentioning Countess Pourtales and Col. Ferdinand Lecomte; slight cover reduction at right and top stamp with tear at top right, F.-V.F.
