Manuscript postmark. with "20" rate on 1814 folded letter addressed to "Northern Army, near Albany", forwarded to Williamsville and reforwarded to Albany, manuscript "ford 8" indicating total due of 28¢, additional "Wmsville Jay 20-ford" manuscript postmark and an additional 17¢ due, fresh and Very Fine, interesting and scarce early twice-forwarded usage, described by the author as the earliest he has seen.
