Newport Stampless Covers, 1790-1852. Selection of 35 folded letters; highlights include 1790 straight line with manuscript "Sh2", 1794 manuscript with "Free", 1800 from Baltimore and forwarded at Newport - both cds's of the 1st Federal style, 1815 war rate (2 different), several cds types and rates in the 1820-50's, 2 large 53x45 ovals 1821-22 in red and black, 11 41x34 ovals 1823-33 in blue, bluish green & red with various handstamps including "Free", "Ship", "Forwarded" including two with fancy lettering "Free" and "Ship" straight lines, etc., generally Fine, with little duplication.

Providence Stampless Covers, 1794-1854. Group of 18 covers; nice range with four 1790-96 straight line postmarks including "Free" congressional frank and other with manuscript "forwarded by your obt. servt. Provid May 14, 1796 D.W. Marsh" forwarder on reverse, 1815 manuscript postmark with "25½" war rate, latter drop and circular rate usages and an incoming 1783 folded letters, F.-V.F.

Approximately 100 covers with a variety of towns and rates (no Providence or Newport); scarcer offices include 1854 Carolina Mills cds, 1847 Burrilville manuscript, 1848 New Shoreham manuscript, Lippitt including manuscript and cds, Brands Iron Works 1847 manuscript and 1853 cds, 1831 Cumberland Hill manuscript, 3 1830's Warren boxed date stamp usages including "Ship", 1813 Warren boxed straight line, etc., Fine.
