Two strikes of cds and matching "Collect" boxed handstamp cancelling 1857, 1¢ blue, type V, single and vertical pair + 3¢ dull red on 3¢ Star Die franked entire paying triple rate, addressed to "Old Woman Gulch, Calaveras County (Cal.)" with further manuscript directive "to be left at Murphy's store, Chili Gulch, 3 miles from Mokelumne Hill"; stamp flaws and cover defects from opening, Fine, still a scarce multiple rate usage to this mining camp.
