(Stocks & Bonds) Republic of Texas 1840 $100 Bond. Elaborately illustrated bond, 7½"x9¾", picturing blacksmith, steer, cow, steamboat, Lone Star, etc; with coupons attached, cut cancelled, slight overall toning and water stains on lower part do not detract.
Estimate    $200 - 300.

Lot 78

(Stocks & Bonds) San Diego and Fort Yuma Turnpike Company Stock Certificate. 1873 certificate for five shares; trivial edge flaws, Very Fine, a very rare certificate.
Estimate    $750 - 1,000.

The San Diego and Fort Yuma turnpike road, 200 miles in length, which was the first good road across the county to Arizona, and opened up a good deal of trade and travel.

Lot 79

(Stocks & Bonds) Tuolumne County Water Company. Stock certificate with elaborate multiview mining vignette, "Lith. Britton & Rey, San Francisco" imprint, issued in Columbia February 12, 1855, and transferred in 1861 per notation on the back, spindle tear in the center, trimmed just into the frame at lower left, Very Fine.
Estimate    $100 - 150.
