New South Wales, 1850 Sydney View, 3d yellow green, Bluish Wove Paper, Two Singles. Ample to mostly large margins, tied by neat barred oval cancels on 1852 folded letter sheet to London, England, "Alert" private ship endorsement and manuscript "1/4" due for double weight letter, reverse with "Ship Letter, Sydney, Oc 16, 1852" rimless crown and red London entry cds's; cover edge wear and small internal hole, otherwise Very Fine. Scott No. 9.

South Australia, c.1870, 2d pale orange-red perf 10, "P" (olice) Official. Rare departmental official, overprinted in black on SG160, with Adelaide cds, Very Fine. SG No. P. (c).

Victoria, 1899-1937 Melbourne Ship Mail Room Cancels. Group of 9 covers cards; includes 4 early type I "G.P.O." cancels on cards including internal usage used as origin postmark and several uprated postal card usages, 5 type II cancel covers with various frankings and destinations including one to New York via airmail with In W.S.A. only manuscript endorsement; an interesting group, F.-V.F.

Western Australia, 1881, 4d carmine, Crown CC watermark reversed. Bar numeral cancels, rich color, cert. mention perf stains which we find no evidence of, F.-V.F., variety unlisted in S.G. and quite possibly unique; with 2010 A.P.S. certificate.

Group of 7 multicolor cards each featuring an array of stamps of N.S.W., Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria, Western Australia plus New Zealand, all inscribed "Sold in aid of the Sanatoria for Consumptive Women", three of the cards with postal usage, a few trivial flaws, very scarce items, Very Good to Excellent.
