Attractive stampless folded letter to New York, with blue oval forwarder "Mongiardini Y Co / Valparaiso", red straight line "Paid - to / Panama", red crayon "1/-" rate marking, "Panama" transit amd "Steamship 10" all alongside; "Valparaiso" transit on reverse, Very Fine.

Tied by Newchwang tombstone postmark on cover to Kobe, Japan, in combination with French Offices in China 1894, 5c yellow green + 20c red on green tied by "Shang-Hai, Chine, 25 Nov, 99" cds, French Packet postmark and "T" due handstamp crossed out in crayon, reverse with origin and receiving postmarks; some toning around China 10¢ stamp, otherwise Very Fine.
