Mexico, 1856, 8r red lilac. Margins to slightly in at top and left, tied by 1860 México cds on fresh folded letter sheet to Vera Cruz, manuscript "por Extraordo." express endorsement, Very Fine, a choice and rare express rate usage, this rate only existed from Mexico to Vera Cruz and was double the rate of normal service, probably no more than 30-40 covers exist with an 8 reales stamp.
