Martin who is severing mandatory life sentence for bank robbery in the federal penitentiary in Beaumont, Tx., each cover bearing a reproduction of various classic stamp issues, includes a fascinating correspondence by Martin including some details regarding his escapades as a bandit.Estimate $100 - 150.

Approximately 1,000 stamps on arranged on album and stock pages in album; includes Eagle City Post with circular rays type forgeries and small box type including genuine, bogus type in colors and a study of ad labels, East River Post Office including bogus creations and a good showing of steamship types including a genuine #62L4, Essex Letter Express with genuine bearing a grid corner cancel, large section of Floyd's Penny Post with a few genuine, reprints including various sheets and large blocks, most forgery types represented including scarce forgery types with colors unlisted in Lyons, Franklin City with bogus, Frazer & Co. eagle forgeries, G&H, Gordon's with a strong section of forgeries and color types, Grafflin's and an interesting section of the Guy's City Despatch with the discovery examples of the forgery/trial printing varieties including the "scratch on S" varieties (these are believed to be the only known examples of this variety, see January 1993 The Penny Post article by C.
