Worldwide, 1904 St. Louis Games. The 1904 Olympiad took place in conjunction with the World's Fair at St. Louis, this lot consisting mainly of about 150 post cards, postal cards and covers including one complete set on 1¢ Postal card tied by Exposition Station duplex cancels, many with Exposition Station postmarks, many franked with Louisiana Purchase issues; also included are many advertising covers featuring promotional illustrations, slogan cancellations, etc., for the Fair itself; earlier versions with "1903", later versions having dropped the date; broad range of corner cards, many post cards and covers with Fair building illustrations; only one item mentions the Games as a major participant; most station cancels are 7-line machine type but note some with the scarcer duplex handstamp types as well; mixed condition, generally F-VF or better.

Sherring, Canadian winner of the Marathon; special card for the 1906 Games showing the Greek royal coat of arms, color trial and lovely mint 5d blue, please inspect.

Selection of 6 special postcards with Olympic Games of Stockholm special postmarks including roller machine cancel Publicity postmarks; also 3 mint Olympic vignettes in different languages, plus one tied on reverse of cover from the Danish West Indies, and one tied on unaddressed Olympic postcard with 2ö pair by "Stockholm Stadion/LBR./22.7.12" postmarks (a reproduction made by the Swedish Postal Museum in 1913.
