War Dept., 1879, 2¢ rose red, small faults, purple cancel and matching "McDowell, Arizona Ter. Oct 18 1883" double circle date stamp on cover to David's Island in New York Harbour, N.Y., manuscript "O.B" corner card, reverse with "Phoenix, Ariz. Oct 19" and "New York Transit Oct 25" backstamps; file fold and edge tears, Fine and scarce territorial use, ex-Lobdell.

Newspaper, 1879, 2¢ black, three singles, right stamp showing cracked plate through "Cents", manuscript canceled on 1880 Memorandum of Mailing indicating payment of the two cents per pound rate; accompanied by a unused PR9 (small flaws), Very Fine, a rare usage of the cracked plate variety on document.
