Portugal, Collection, 1853-1955, mint mounted on album pages with the occasional used; includes good showing of early issues with some parallel used through 1862-84 King Liz issues which are virtually complete, 1882-87 issue which better high values, 1892-93 issues complete mostly mint including better top values, strong completion in later long definitive sets, commemoratives including 1894 Prince Henry set complete (cat $1,351), 1895 St. Anthony with some better values, 1925 & 1926 commemorative set complete, following Independence sets present and excellent completion in later, also the good 1940's souvenir sheets present with some pleasant duplication, back-of-the-book issues including dues, parcel post, etc., some modest duplication to be expected; condition varied in earlier issues with nice fresh material throughout, owners cat in excess of $16,750 not counting the early issues.

Portugal, Collection, 1853-1900, used issues mounted on album pages with a high degree of completion for the period; includes 1853 first issues complete including additional #1 and #3 large margin pair (total cat $5,369), complete 1855 & 1856 issues with some additional (cat $1,433), later basic completion to 1875 with several good imperf pairs, other highlights including 1893 Provisorio complete (couple values mint, cat $600+), 1894 Centenary set complete, 1895 St. Anthony issue near complete including top two key values (cat $675), some back-of-the-book issues and an additional page of mostly classic issues; condition well above the norm overall.
