France, Collection, 1849-1955, mint mounted on album pages with occasional used mostly in early issues; starting with first issue Ceres issues mostly used, strong showing of Napoleon issues predominately mint to the high values, 1869 5fr used, good showing of following Ceres issues, Peace & Commerce issues including later high values, completion in 1900-29 issues including complete high values, later issues with better present including 1923 Bordeaux, 1937 PEXIP souvenir sheet, etc., early semi-postals issues missing only #B10, airmails with #C1-C2 and other better, dues, Alsace & Lorraine, etc.; condition varied with nice fresh material throughout, owners cat in excess of $56,275.

France, Collection, 1849-2003, three fresh clean Scott Specialty albums, displaying a remarkably complete range from earliest Empire & Republique issues, forward through better definitive & regular issues to 5fr, generally used to 1900 and mint thereafter; airpost, semipostals, postage dues, booklets & other back-of-the-book, are present, lacking the rarest issues; owner's 2012 catalog value exceeds $24,000, F.-V.F.

France, Collection, 1849-1900, mostly used mounted on album pages; with early imperf issue virtually all 4-margin including 1849-50 issues with 10c & 20c values in pairs and missing only the rare 1fr vermilion, 1853-60 issues complete, other basic completion with highlights including 1869, 5f gray lilac, the 1871, 10c on 10c bister mint (Sc. 49, cat $1,900, with cert.), strong Peace & Commerce issues with used 1c black on Prussian blue (Sc. 87, cat. $4,350, faulty with cert.), postage dues with better including 1871, 40c blue unused (cat $325) and 1882 1fr black (cat $350), includes couple filled pages with additional including multiples, cancel types, etc.; condition above the norm overall.

France, Paris Star Cancel Collection, 1852-1876, extensive award winning collection neatly mounted and well written up on exhibition pages comprising well over 130 covers, including about 9 Ballons Montés usages, bearing Star cancels, numbered 1 to 39 in use in Paris during those years, each number corresponding to a particular post office; franked with "Empire" Emperor Napoleon imperf & perf issues and imperf & perf "Bordeaux" Ceres issues; other than star type cancels, also present are "circle of dots", "square dots", roller with large square dots, small dots, roller with grill; wide range of combinations including small registered & insured cover franked with 5fr Napoleon + 2fr40c additional; destinations with many to European countries including England, Ireland, Scotland, on the continent to Livorna Italy, Luzern Switzerland, Vienna Austria; Berlin, Amsterdam, Madrid; U.S.A.destinations include Minnesota, Philadelphia, New York, San Francisco, Cleveland, New Orleans; also several to Mexico including Vera Cruz, Guadalajara; also Melbourne Australia; some interesting markings noted including many forwarder or advertising handstamps; other markings & handstamps; this collection also includes many 100's of neatly postmarked issues of the period, mounted by issue dates; condition of collection is generally F-VF or better, with many XF.
