Adams & Co.'s Express, in manuscript to Melbourne with manuscript "Advt'd" and "Collect" on light orange cover, small nick out of upper left corner, Very Fine, nice cover from the Adams rare express in Australia.

Adams Express to Fort Vancouver, 1854 folded letter from San Francisco, addressed to Dugald Mactavish, Hudson Bay Company at Fort Vancouver, Columbia River, detailing the default by a supposedly outstanding businessman on a loan, which apparently caused something of a sensation; the letter is handstamped with blue double circle Adams & Co., San Francisco, endorsed "pr. Adams & Co's Express" and manuscript "Private"; said to be the only Adams cover known to Fort Vancouver, fresh and Very Fine.
