Casa Grande, Pinal Co., A.T., Jul 5, 1882, purple cds and fancy "CG" in star in circle duplex (Meyer type 2A, rarity 7) on 3¢ green entire to San Francisco, Cal., black company frank at top, Very Fine, a very rare usage of a Wells, Fargo & Co. entire from Casa Grande with Only 3 Examples Recorded.
Estimate    $500 - 750.

John C. Loise was both the postmaster and Wells, Fargo & Co. agent at Casa Grande.

Wells, Fargo & Co's Express, Tucson, A.T., black on orange label affixed to reduced oversized cover addressed to San Francisco Cal. in care of the Wells Fargo Office, with red "Mar 11, 1881" dated corner card; cover soiling and some tears, Fine appearance, still a very scarce usage from Tucson.

Yuma, Arizona, Feb 1, 1888, red cds on 3¢ green entire to San Francisco, Cal., with Wells, Fargo & Co. black printed frank and purple receiving date stamp; sealed opening tears at right, otherwise Very Fine, a rare usage of the Yuma postmark used as an origin dater on an express entire.
Estimate    $300 - 400.

During this period, Oscar Townsend was not only the postmaster of Yuma, but he also was the agent for Wells, Fargo & Co.
