Hawaii, The Equitable Life Assurance Society, corner card on fumigated cover to W.J. Lowrie in Spreckelsville, Maui, bearing 1899, 2¢ rose tied by "Honolulu, H.I. Dec 15, 1900" duplex, top left and bottom right corners with fumigation cuts, Very Fine, ex-Golden.

Bubonic plague swept through Honolulu and other parts of the Islands for several months and Honolulu was quarantined starting December 12, 1899 and finally ending April 30, 1900.

Paid All machine transit and receiving backstamps; edge faults and light stain, Fine, a beautiful and rare Hawaiian patriotic design, ex-Golden.

Hawaii, n Hotel, Honolulu, all-over illustrated four-panel scene advertising design on reverse of cover, bearing 1894, 5¢ rose lake tied by "Honolulu, H.I., Aug 1, 1898" duplex on cover to Rome, Italy, upon arrive readdressed in attractive red ink to Grand Hotel Brufani in Perugia, reverse with purple "Collection 9:25 A.M." violet straight line handstamp (Davey 752) on reverse along with Rome cds; small bit of paper loss on back, Very Fine and rare advertising usage to Rome.
Estimate    $400 - 600.

Hawaii, "Lava Flow 'Hawaii' ", early Hawaiian Territory picture envelope opened for display, bearing U.S. 2¢ carmine tied by by "Honolulu, H.I., Sep 26, 1913" duplex postmark on addressed to Yokohama, Japan, short paid and marked "T 30 Centimes" handstamp and blue crayon, forwarded to Tokyo with various labels and instructional markings, purple Cook & Co. Yokohama forwarders oval on reverse; Very Fine and wonderful usage.

Mar 14, 1900" duplex, bottom corners with fumigation cuts, Very Fine, A very scarce corner card from this migrant worker company, the first we have offered., ex Golden.
