West Las Animas, Col., Mar 21, cds and negative "W" duplex killer tying 1873, 3¢ green on missent and forwarded 1¢ postal card to La Junta, with blue "Trinidad, Colo., Mar 20" origin cds and quartered cork duplex canceling card, message on reverse regarding shipment from Golden City, Very Fine, an unusual and rare usage with an unlisted Trinidad postmark in blue.Estimate $150 - 200.
In spite of the post office error, 3¢ postage was added as there was no provision for free forwarding of postal cards.
