3¢ 1851-1857 Color Study By Year, two volume collection with 64 covers but also includes some off-cover or on-piece items, detailed color shade identification arranged by year, includes some better including 1851 deep orange brown and very deep orange brown, 1851 bright orange brown with reddish tinge (R4, off-cover), two 1851 yellowish orange brown, two 1851 pale o.b., 1853 dull red (pale shade), 1853 yellowish dull red (R3), 1856 palest yellowish rose red (R4), 1856 medium-deep yellowish rose red (R4) and same 1856 yellowish rose red deep shade with more rose, some better covers here and there, F.-V.F., an interesting study of the myriad of shades.

3¢ 1851-1857 Forwarding and Auxiliary Balance, balance mounted on exhibit pages comprising 12 covers with a variety of different markings and usages, including a triple-forwarding from Lexington Va. via Charlottesville, circa 1853 turned usage from Woodstock Ct. to Hartford where advertised and forward h.s. applied with 4¢ due to Northampton, 1852 use with blue New York "Adv 1ct" h.s., couple "Missent" and one NYC "Held for Postage" straightline use, a couple 6¢ transcontinental forwarded covers, etc., some faults, F.-V.F.

3¢ 1851-1857 Postal History Balance, collection balance mounted on exhibit pages comprising 16 covers and six cover fronts (including five New Orleans "Way" front uses), some interesting usages include #10A pair on cover front from San Francisco to Brunswick Me., #11A use of strips paying the 21¢ American packet rate to France (stamp faults), three usages with Bloods locals, multiple rates including triple, quadruple and quintuple; a Natchez packet use, etc., some mixed condition, F.-V.F.

1851 3¢ Calendar Collection, complete set of 366 stamps with clear date postmarks mounted on exhibit pages, including Jan. 1, Feb 29, Jul. 4 and Dec. 25, includes a couple ob's, some faults and cut margins but clear strikes throughout, very unusual and difficult to assemble; also includes 12 extra dates on title page stamps catalog over $5,670.

3¢ 1851-57 Color Study, selection of 61 stamps arranged by year on printed cards by Dr. Amonette, includes nine #10s with shades of pale-deep orange brown, copperish (SR 4), yellowish (SR4), two reddish (R3)and bright, an experimental orange brown, and a plum (SR4); all with handstamped cancels, some faults to be expected, F.-V.F., a very desirable study.

1851-56 New York City Integral Bar Circular Datestamps, group of five covers comprising #10A tied by four bar cds, #10 tied by 1851 single slug with bar misplaced (faults), #11 tied by 1856 single bar, #11 on 1851 cover with three bar cds, and #11 on 1852 cover with three bars (but one incomplete), F.-V.F. group.
