There is only one example on a complete cover, the rest are used on these reduced folded covers from the W.H. Heyliger correspondence.

The Frederiksted post office burned in October 1878 with the loss of all equipment. Mail was hand-cancelled in manuscript and signed by the postmaster until 1879.
