Post Office Announcement of Registered Package Envelopes and Seals, a one-page circular to all postmasters dated February 14, 1872 advising of release of a new Registered Package Envelope and Registered Seal "for the greater security of Registered Letters", the envelopes and seals in equal quantities will be furnished to postmasters and forwarded together, an accurate count of these must be taken and postmasters are required to exhaust all the old-style envelopes remaining in their hands before ordering supplies of the new, and the registered seals must not be used on envelopes of the old style; some file folds, Very Fine and scarce.

"189_" Dead Letter Office Return Seal, affixed to cover bearing 2¢ carmine (279B), tied by "New Bedford Mass. Apr. 28 1900" wavy flag machine cancel, ms. "Insf. Address", sent to D.L.O., reverse with D.L.O. May 19 triangular backstamp, label with red ms. "21 Sheriden St, Central Falls, R.I." redirection; reduced slightly at left, clean and Very Fine.

New York Registry Exchange Label, used as official seals on 1923 registered cover from Vienna, Austria to New York City, damaged in transit, with Austria 100kr. (three) and 2000kr (four) stamps on reverse with Wien (9.5) cds, reverse with purple "Received in Bad Condition/G.P.O. N.Y. Reg. Div" handstamp, sealed with one Official Seal #OX21 and eight registry labels affixed, unusual and rare, vertical fold down center, F.-V.F., a scarce combination.

Forsbay", purple "Returned to Sender, Cannot be found by N.Y.P.O., Sep. 4, 1897" auxiliary handstamp, F.-V.F., a rare use.

Tibbets" endorsement at left and additional "Advertised, April-1-1900" & "Unclaimed", sent to dead letter office with magenta "Dead Letter Office, Received in Bad Condition, May 8, 1900, Foreign Division" postmark, Fine and scarce.
