Confederacy, 11-Star and Bars Flag, patriotic design in black on cover bearing on reverse as flap seal 1862, 5¢ blue, partial as damaged from opening, tied by partial "Greenwood Depot, Va Jun 10" cds with additional strike on front, addressed to Mrs. S. J. Robertson, Mossingford PO, Charlotte Co., Va in care of Mr. B. G. Dickerson; manuscript "Due 5" on the cover, reverse with manuscript routing instruction "Direct to Greenwood Tunnel Va C R R (Virginia Central Railroad) in care of Surg J. G. Boatwright.", a Very Fine use; with 1983 CSA certificate. Scott No. 4.

Anderson, Mt Pleasant Laurens Dist, S.C., soldier's endorsement "L. M. Henderson Co C 14th Reg SCV.", sender's notation at bottom left "PM at Mt Pleasant, please forward."; one side flap missing and corner repaired, F.-V.F. appearance.

Randolph of Richmond imprint, bearing two uncancelled 1862, 5¢ blue (7) singles, picked up by a Union soldier on the battlefield at Yorktown, reverse with manuscript "Confederate Envelope picked up at Yorktown, Va., in May 1862, by J. Warren Conard, Livingston's Battery K, 3d U.S. Artillery." endorsement; light fold and flap reattached, F.-V.F., a rare green envelope example, ex-Gordon Bleuler.
