1919, 1¢ gray green Offset, perf 12½, bottom plate "10052" block of six, exceedingly well centered, strong color, o.g., never hinged, gum skip and light gum crease, penciled number in margin, fresh and Very Fine.

Lot 2109    

1919, 1¢ gray green Offset, perf 12½, bottom plate number "10036" block of 10 with two ghost plate numbers, nicely centered, bright and fresh, o.g., couple small hinge remnants, Very Fine.

Ghost printed plate numbers were picked up from the rubber printing blanket. The offset presses used zinc plates and the process used a system of transferring an image to a rubber blanket and then to the printing surface.
