Ashbrook on reverse.

Pkt, 23, Apr 4" integral rate cds, reverse with red Aachen transit and receiving backstamps; expertly restored tearing through address panel and New York postmark, cover opened at sides for display, Very Fine appearance.

Express, Jamestown" handstamp and matching "Paid" in oval handstamp at top, entering the mails with "N. York Br. Pkt., 23, Apr 2" cds canceling indicia, manuscript ratings and red "Via Di Svizzera" routing handstamp, reverse with red Aachen transit and receiving backstamps, includes the original "Post Sarde" postal due slip with "Genova, Apr 22, 56" cds (second partial strike on reverse of cover) which was attached by sealing wax to the upper left corner of the cover and matching adhesion on reverse of slip; some light cover edge wear, Very Fine.
