Express Balance, collection balance of approximately 65 covers; wide range of town and usages including Freeman & Pacific Union Express overprinted franks, early advertising, postmarks from Jackson, Shasta, Crystal Lake, St. Louis, Eureka H.B., etc., W.F. & Co. - J. Bamber combination usage, later usages including some scarcer townmarks; condition varies, worth careful inspection, F.-V.F. overall.

Wells Fargo & Co. Collection Envelopes, 1860-80's, group of 7 different; including 1870 commission envelope to Watsonville, four showing different illustrated locomotives, one with Pacific Ex. Co. underprint, another with script company name and "Containing Greenbacks"; one with sealed tear, otherwise Very Fine.

Cover Balance, of 7 non-California usages; includes "Boise Mines - Paid 50 Cts" red frank entire from Bannock City I.T., townmarks including Belmont, Nev., Silver City I.T., Silver, Utah, Salt Lake City U.T. usage to Denmark (stamp replaced), etc.; mixed condition, generally Fine appearance (no photo).

Messenger, Santa Barbara, Mariposa, Wilmington, Calico, Suisun, Hornitos, San Jose, Vallejo, Placerville, Coulterville, Nevada, Stockton, Hollister, etc., also about 30 reference entires and a few other express companies; some duplication (no photo).

Gothic "Express" Handstamps, collection of 21 California entires; nice variety of towns and franks including several Woodblocks; with town names including Suisun, Los Angeles, Folsom, Pacheco, Visalia, Volcano, Nevada, Big Oak Flat, Bear Valley, Honitas, Iowa Hill, San Andreas, Yreka, Oroville, Yankee Jims, Chinese Camp, Georgetown, etc.; few flaws with clear readable strikes throughout, Very Fine overall.

Red Frank Entires, group of 5 entires; includes Woodblock frank posted in N.Y. with "via Nic route" endorsement, another 1855, 10¢ Nesbitt entire with Sac City oval and N.Y. postmark, 10¢ Star Die entire from San Francisco and two 1861, 10¢ entires - one with N.Y. postmark and other with W.F. & Co., S.F. date stamp, also includes a rebacked cover front from La Grange; couple of the later entires with repaired flaws, F.-V.F. overall.

Feather River, Everts & Co., J.W. Hoag & Co. Contra Costa Express, Gregory & English's Express and others; condition varies with some repair/rebacked items, generally F.-V.F. or better appearance.
