(Route 11122) Str. Minnesota, printed scroll corner card on yellow cover bearing 3¢ ultramarine (113) tied by "Dubuque Ioa. Jul 14" duplex with quartered cork, addressed to Kingston Centre Oh., original printed letterhead enclosure "On Board, Northern Line Packet Co's Str. Minnesota" and dated "Tuesday, July 12th 1870"; carried to Rock Island to be put on the Chicago & Rock Island railroad east; cover reduced slightly at right, small red ink spot, Very Fine, Illustrated in Milgram on page 475.

(Route 11122) Dubuque & Davenport S.B. Oct 26, steamboat agent cds ties 3¢ rose (65) on yellow cover addressed to Springfield Oh., originating with "Savanna Ill Oct 21" cds, double strike of blue "Due 3" framed handstamp for proper 6¢ steamboat rate, carried on Route 11122 down to Davenport where route agent cds struck; reduced slightly at right, Very Fine exceptionally rare steamboat agent cds.

Route 11122 on the Upper Mississippi River was contracted to the Northern Line Packet Co. in July 1862 for a daily service excluding Sundays at $4,056 per year. Although the route ceased after June 1866, Northern Line steamboats continued to carry mails to Davenport in the 1870s.
