Panama, 1902, Registration, 20c on 10c brown red, manuscript "150", used with Colombia A.R. 5c vermilion pair and Panama 20c violet, tied by "Colon, 16 Ene 1903" cds on cover to Detroit Mich., New York (1.27) and Detroit (1.28) backstamps, magenta received handstamp; some light staining, Fine, this is the latest recorded Colon cover with two 5c A.R. stamps paying the 10c fee.

Panama, 1903-04, Registration, 10c Yellow With Second Colon Overprint and "R Colon" Handstamp, red "4084" handstamp below, used as pair with Panama 1903-04 10c yellow, plus additional single, and 5c blue, all with Colon Second Overprint handstamps in dark violet, 5c lightly cancelled by "A.R. Colon" handstamp, 10c cancelled by purple "Colon, 11 Dic 1903" duplex on "Panama Railroad Company" cover to Kingston, Jamaica, blue Jamaica (12.13) arrival oval; some perf toning and one 10c with pulled perf, cover reduced at left, metal flap seal removed causing minor paper loss in address, Fine, a rare use.
Scott No. Panama F13 + 110, 111 [2]    Estimate $300 - 400.

This cover has a registration number applied by machine, and is the only such example recorded prior to March 23rd. The A.R. handstamp still read "A.R. / Colon / Colombia".

After the postal rates were reduced, the Colon postmaster stopped using the overprinted Colombian stamps, probably because they were the wrong denomination. Regular postage stamps were used with cancels that read "R / Colon" in a circular and "A.R. / Colon".
