World War I Occupation Issues, Collection, 1914-20, used on album pages with some specialized */o studies; includes complete 1914-18 Belgium issues with additional 1919-21 Belgium Occ. of Germany issues complete including Eupen & Malmedy, France issues complete with additional 1870 Alsace-Loraine issues with the better issues present, Poland issues including good Lublin & Cracow issues including Cracow 30h dull violet x2 (Scott 59, one signed, cat $350 each), Gniezno surcharges on piece, etc., Romania general issues complete x2 plus */o study of overprints including double and inverted worth checking; a nice collection with strong completion throughout.

German Plebiscite Areas, Collection, 1920-22, housed on early album pages (no Saar); includes complete Allenstein, Marienwerder complete basic issues including first Germania overprint set complete (Scott 24-31, key 50pf signed, cat $1,195) and a section of the the following surcharge types, Schleswig with the Zone overprint set (cat $243), Upper Silesia with the better 5pf on 15pf black surcharges (all 4 types plus one additional, cat $525 each), later sets including the good 1921 set, officials with the C.G.H.S. overprint sets and section of the overprint varieties with virtually every configuration of single and double overprint represented; nice neatly canceled items throughout.

Saar, Collection, 1920-59, well formed near complete used collection with some mint housed on album pages, with used hand-selected for neat attractive cancellations; starting with complete 1920 first issues and an additional mint study of overprint varieties (Michel identified), Bavaria issue with 5m & 10m high values (Scott 38-39, both signed, total cat. $1,100), completion in later regular issues, completion in semi-postals with the 1928 10fr+10fr issue bearing late cancel (not counted) but scarce 1931 sets present, 1948 Flood sheet mint, etc., similar airmails, #CB1 used and souvenir sheet mint, officials complete; a premium collection with Scott cat. well in excess of $10,000.

Danzig, Collection, 1919-39, used collection housed on album pages, complete except for Scott #44 & 47-48, with Germania issues including 1925, 25pf inverted surcharge (Mi 18k) and better burelage varieties (complete sets, with better items all signed), with following Danzig overprint missing only the three rare issues, complete thereon including airmails, semi-postals and officials complete; some duplication in sets and includes section of various towns (not the usual Danzig postmark) on later issues; with basic collection catalogs over $4,770.

Allied Occupation, Collection, 1945-46, used collection with the occasional mint, housed on album pages; starting with A.M.G. set complete used (Scott 3N1-20, cat $939), French Occ. issues complete x2 (cat $197 each), similar Baden issues with some later mint and Rhine Palatine with good 1948-49 set x2 (6N30-38, cat. $415 each, semi-postals with good cross set (cat $360), Wurttemberg regular issues; nice neatly canceled items throughout.

Soviet Zone, Collection, 1945-48, used housed on album pages; includes complete 1948-49 general issues with semipostals including Goethe sheet (10NB11, cat $475), also a set of the 1948 Berlin zone handstamps (Mi 166-181, cat €700) and additional, Berlin-Brandenberg, near complete Mecklenburg-Vorpommern issues with better later sets present, near complete Saxony issues missing the West Saxony souvenir sheets but including the East Saxony 1945, 12pf red (15N1, signed Dubb, Richter, cat $650), Thuringa highlighted by the 1945 Fir Tree souvenir sheets of 3 (16N3a, with GPS cert, cat $875) with other good sheets; a nice well formed collection.
