ONE OF ONLY 9 RECORDED EXAMPLES OF THIS JAMESTOWN EXPO REGISTERED POSTMARK.

Three of the nine examples known are first day usages of the 5¢ Jamestown stamp on May 8th 1907. This marking is known used from May 6th to July 6th 1907.

Norfolk, Va. Oct 14 1907, perfect full strike of International electric powered machine with "D" die and "P.O. Dep't. Ex." slogan cancel on hand back post card, Very Fine.

ONE OF ONLY TWO RECORDED EXAMPLES OF THIS EXPO MARKING.

Both N07-08A and N07-08B are souvenir markings from the exposition post office. They were not used to process outgoing mail, but were rather given out on a hand-back basis.

1907, Jamestown Exposition, balance of 46 cover and post cards, includes range of multicolor post cards and Exposition postmarks including several N07-01 duplex handstamps, better includes multicolor Expo post card holder for the Inside Inn with #329 tied by N07-05 machine to Boston Mass., three post cards with N07-04 machine cancels tying #328 singles (cat. $100 each), Boston "1907 Jamestown Celebration" fantasy machine cancel (Cat. $75), N07-05 used as a receiving backstamp (only recorded example), various Division corner cards including Exploitation, Official Publication and Finance; three tickets/passes for the Jamestown Expo including one issued to the postmaster of the Expo Station; Norfolk ad machine cancel on 2¢ post card to Japan; Norfolk ad machine cancel ties #330 on cover to Germany; some hotel ad covers including the Inside Inn and the Atlantic Hotel; and N07-05 ties #328 on Alaska post card with "1909 Alaska-Yukon Pacific Exposition" purple handstamp to Boston Mass., etc., F.-V.F., excellent basis for further expansion.
