Pleasant Grove, Md., Allegany Co, 20 Jan, cds and two matching partial "Free" handstamps on orange buff cover addressed to Miss J. Sophia Zevely at Salem N.C., manuscript "Free, E. S. Zevely P.M." free frank at top right, original 1855 enclosure signed by Zeverly; flap tear.
Estimate    $300 - 400.

Zevely made datestamps, auxilliary and rate markings handcarved out of wood. The Pleasant Grove cds and "Free" markings are examples of his work.
