11-Blade Patent Cancel, duplexed with "Philadelphia Pa May 23 1863" cds ties 1¢ blue (63) with large bottom margin capture of "Engraved By" imprint, and 3¢ rose (65) on orange buff cover to Lieut. Col. at Fort Saratoga, Washington D.C., prepaid 1¢ carrier fee to the mails plus 3¢ postage, reverse with partial strike of U.S. Penny Mail carrier datestamp; 3¢ stamp possibly washed and reused illegally, reduced slightly at right, F.-V.F.

11-Blade Patent Cancel, two strikes duplexed with "Philadelphia Pa Apr 20 1863" cds tie 1¢ blue (63) and 3¢ rose (65) on lady's mourning cover to New York City, prepaid 1¢ carrier fee to the mails plus 3¢ postage, blade appears to have been missing, for an 11-bar appearance. 3¢ faulty, still Very Fine.

May 12" cds to Brasher Iron Works N.Y.; cover opened for display with some faults including restored lower right edge, F.-V.F., ex-Gibson.
