Hawaii, 1867 (Aug. 16) Lynn Mass. to Lahainaluna, Maui, William Howland blind embossed corner card cover to Rev. S.E. Bishop at the Lahainaluna Seminary, bearing misperfed 3¢ rose (65) tied by target cancel on cover with matching "Lynn Ms. Aug 16" cds, red crayon "7c" due rating for 5¢ inland postage plus 2¢ ship fee, pencil 1867 arrival docketing at left, F.-V.F.
Estimate    $150 - 200.

Rev. S.E. Bishop and William Howland were classmates at Amherst College.

Hawaii, 1869 (c. Aug. 29) Green Point N.Y. to Honolulu, Hawaii, cover addressed to Miss Martha A. Chamberlain bearing 10¢ green, grilled (89) cancelled by grid cancel, matching "Green Point N.Y. Aug 29" cds, Very Fine, Cat. $450 on normal cover; with 1997 A.P.S. certificate.
Estimate    $200 - 300.

Martha Anne Chamberlain (Jenkins) was daughter of Levi Chamberlain who was Missionary of 2nd Company.

Hawaii, 1881 (Jan. 27) Hawaiian Consulate at New South Wales to Honolulu, Hawaii, legal-size "On His Hawaiian Majesty's Service" cover with additional "H.H.M.'s Consulate / at Sydney, N.S.W." printed endorsement at lower left, bearing New South Ales, 1s black (60) block of three tied by "Sydney JA 27 81" duplexes and addressed to Collector General of Customs at Honolulu, endorsed "Australia" at top left, purple "Paid All" oval handstamp; couple small stamp flaws, F.-V.F.

By Italy & U.S.A." at bottom left, reverse with Sea Post Office (2.7), London (2.23), and San Francisco Steamship (3.10) transits, Honolulu (3.17.1891) arrival backstamp, Very Fine, A rare use from India to Hawaii.
