Herst's Outbursts, Shrub Oaks, NY: Herman Herst, Jr. Vol III#1 Summer 1946 cmplt Vol XXXII Summer 1973. Nos 21-140 including 15 xerox along with copies of #2 and #5, in orange clam shell solander. Smith #11220. Accompanying Herst memo states that prior to #20, Herst's Outbursts were in the form of post cards and price lists. A compendium of witty stories and anecdotes by this beloved philatelic story-teller along with "The Boy's Book of Stamp Collecting" with fly leaf stating "This is the first book I ever owned (on stamps) given me on my fifth birthday in 1914" signed Herman Herst Jr. Plus twenty personal gossipy letters between Herst and Bierman 1980-1998.
