1879, 30¢ full black, without gum, perfect centering amid large evenly balanced margins all around, rich intense color enhancing a sharp detailed impression, a Superb gem, this is the only example, mint or used, to obtain this lofty grade with the next highest being only a 98; with 1982 P.F. and 2008 P.S.E. certificates, the later Graded (Gem 100, SMQ grades only to 98 at $825).
