(Oahu) Aiea, Oahu, May 8, 1899, purple cds (255.01, scarcity 2) on 1894, 1¢ red postal card to Homomu, pencil not known at Homomu and returned with Honolulu transit and reverse with two Homomu cds's (253.01), Very Fine, a scarce postmark as this Post Office was in operation for only 2 years.

(Oahu) Ewa, Oahu, Jul 29, 1892, bold strike of purple cds (281.013, 1RR) on 1884, 2¢ carmine entire to Hilo, Honolulu transit backstamp and indicia additionally tied by light purple "Hilo, Hawaii, Jul, 31, 1892"receiving cds; small part of backflap missing, an Extremely Fine strike, only nine strikes recorded by Gregory.

(Oahu) Hauula, Oahu, Jan 3, 1900, full purple cds (255.01, 1RR) on 1899, 2¢ rose, Very Fine, a choice strike of this rare townmark, with Only Seven Strikes Recorded.
Scott No. 81    Estimate $300 - 400.

A post office was opened at Hauula in 1899 with C. Andrews named as postmaster, but what kind of facility existed at this place before 1899 is unclear. References list a post office at Hauula in 1856-1861 but a postmaster is not identified. In 1884, a postmaster was named for Hauula, but no post office was listed there.

(Oahu) Heeia, Oahu, Mar 16, 1893, two strikes of purple cds (281.04, scarcity 4) on 1884, 2¢ carmine entire to Berlin, Germany, uprated with 1883, 1¢ green + 1891, 2¢ dull violet, with appropriate transit and receiving backstamps; light corner mount toning, otherwise Very Fine.

(Oahu) Honolulu, Hawaiian - Islands, Jan 4, cds (243.03) on embossed monogram ladies cover to Kohala, franked with well centered 1875, 2¢ brown tied by circular dash grid cancel (Davey 14, 1R), 1876 docketing, Very Fine and choice, a very scarce grid handstamp known used between January 3rd & February 4th of 1876.

(Oahu) Honolulu, H.I., Gen'l Post Office, Feb 2, 1878, central strike of cds (222.02) on eight different stamps (5¢ & 13¢ Kamehameha "Specimen" overprints and six different Banknotes), affixed to note stating that this set was found in an old collection who received them from the Honolulu Postmaster during a visit and shows what stamps were on hand, group also includes six other Banknotes with similar central 223.029 strikes, F.-V.F., an unusual group.

(Oahu) Honolulu, H.I., small purple straight line handstamp (Gregory unlisted) on 1890, 5¢ deep indigo, blue pencil offset on reverse indicates probable usage on a package, Very Fine, the only example of this handstamp known to us.

(Oahu) Kaneohe, Oahu, Apr 30, 1895, purple cds (282.011, 1RRR) tying 1894, 2¢ brown on cover to Kapaa, Kanai, with Chinese addressing and handstamps at right, reverse with "Honolulu, H.I., May 1, 1895" duplex postmark, Very Fine, one of seven strikes recorded of this Kaneohe postmark.
