Robert Catton, Honolulu., three covers with different corner cards comprising printed "Robert Catton / Honolulu" two-line corner card (RC-CC-1B) on cover bearing 1¢ dark green (80) and 2¢ rose (81) pair tied by "Honolulu H.I. Jul 14 1898" duplex to San Francisco, second with printed "Robert Catton, Honolulu" (RC-PP-1) corner card on preprinted envelope to Risdon Iron Works, San Francisco Cal. bearing 5¢ rose lake (76) tied by "Honolulu, H.I. Jul 13, 1896" duplex, and last with purple "R. Catton" script straightline corner card handstamp on cover bearing 1¢ yellow (74) tied by "Honolulu H.I." circular third-class postmark to Kilauea Sugar Co., last is very rare, a Very Fine trio.

"EC" Three Leaf Clover, green embossed illustrated corner card on beautiful two-toned pink lady's envelope to Mrs. M.E. Van Hamm, New York N.Y. bearing 1¢ yellow (74) and two 2¢ brown (75) singles, tied by "Honolulu. H.I. Oct 6, 1898" duplex strikes, reverse with San Francisco (10.15) and New York (10.20) backstamps; some edge wear, Very Fine, ex-Pietsch.

"F" in Vines, gray old English fancy corner card on cover bearing 2¢ brown (35) tied by Square grid and patent ring cancel to Mres. S.E. Bishop, Honolulu, Oahu, "Hilo P.O., Hawaiian-Islands, Mar 7" cds (MH 242.13) and "Post Office, Honolulu, H.I., Mar 10, 1879" rimless cds (MH 223.029), pencil "Mrs. Forbes" at right; three worm holes and edge nick, otherwise Very Fine, fancy private stationery was not often used in Hawaii, ex-Pietsch.
Peters-Uota No. MONO-MO-6    Estimate $200 - 300.

The Peters-Uota book lists this monogram corner card in black and this cover confirms the "F" is for Forbes.

Syres, Honolulu, H.I., printed corner card on cover bearing 5¢ rose lake (76) tied by bold "Vancouver, B.C., NO 3, 98" cds to Seattle Wash., endorsed by steamship at bottom left, reverse with "Seattle, Wash. Nov 4, 1898" transit backstamp, Very Fine and scarce paquebot use cancelled in British Columbia.

F. Wittrock. Hamoa. Maui, bold purple corner card handstamp on cover bearing 2¢ dull violet, red overprint (57), right selvage, tied by purple "Paia, Maui, Jan 1 1897" (MH 253.02) with inverted year slug, addressed to Hobron Drug Co., Honolulu, reverse with Honolulu Jan. 3, 1897 arrival duplex; two mounting stains on back, otherwise Very Fine.
Peters-Uota No. FCW-HS-1    Estimate $300 - 400.

Frederick C. Wittrock was a Tax Assessor and Inspector, and also served later as Postmaster in Hamoa (1898-99). The Paia 27mm double lined circle cds (MH 253.02) is not recorded by Gregory, but this definitely was not a duplex as shown by the position of the strike.
