1863, 2¢ Carmine Rose, Vertically Laid Paper, top margin block of 10, full o.g., couple tone spots on gum and top center stamp with slightly disturbed gum from hinge removal, margins large to just in at bottom right, light corner gum crease at top right, Very Fine and a stunning multiple, ex-Caspary, Lilly and Golden.

THE LARGEST KNOWN MULTIPLE OF THE 1863 2¢ KAMEHAMEHA ISSUE ON VERTICALLY LAID PAPER.

Only two known blocks of 10 are recorded. This example and the left margin block offered in the Honolulu Advertiser sale. When this block was offered in the Caspary sale, it was described as one of three known, however a third example to date has never been verified.
