Confederacy, 1861, 5¢ green, flaws, manuscript canceled on 1862 folded letter to Valley Head, Ala., with large "Tullahoma, Ten., Feb 19" cds, interesting letter regarding fleeing from the Federal Army…I didn't intend to leave if our Army had made a stand at Nashville, but when they determined to leave not wishing to be inside Federal Lines, F.-V.F.

Confederacy, 1861, 5¢ light green, Stone 1, Horizontal Pair, four full to large margins and neatly pen canceled on light buff turned cover with matching manuscript "Oakville Va., July 24th 1862" postmark to Chesterfield Va., inside use was three months before succession with manuscript "Ford's Depot, Jan 21/61" postmark and matching pen cancel on U.S. 3¢ dull red (26) to Spout Spring Va.; cover opened at sides and folded for display, Very Fine and choice turned adversity use.
