90¢ 1857 Issue George Washington Vignette on $20 & $100 Banknotes. Stock die used on two Rawdon, Wright, Hatch & Edson engraved banknotes comprising $20 The Union Bank and $100 Bank of West Tennessee, this die was apparently used as a model for the 90¢ stamp produced by Toppan, Carpenter & Co. in 1860; some wear and creasing, latter with two filing holes. Fine. Excellent collateral items.

Comprising 5 banknotes with stock vignettes comprising three $10 Canal Bank (one toned), $10 City Bank of New Haven, $10 Bank of Georgetown in orange and black, plus $10 Maryland Savings Institution showing engine turned lathe work similar to the rosettes in the 3¢ stamp design, and $50 Canal Bank note showing designs similar in nature to the 25¢-40¢ revenue stamp designs and shows the eagle stock die of 1851 carrier stamp. F.-V.F.

1917, $1 United States Note, Consecutive Run of Five. Fr-37. KL-24. PCGS Very Choice New 64PPQ, Very Choice New 64, Choice New 63PPQ, About New 58PPQ and About New 53PPQ; plate position letters run "B, C, D, A, B", although there are five consecutive notes, there is no cut sheet, first three notes from the bottom of one sheet of four and the next two notes from the top of the following sheet; all appear wonderfully choice. ex-Eric P.
