1847, 5¢ red brown, three large margins to just shaving at bottom, small corner crease, neatly pen canceled on small embossed bird and Cupid Valentine envelope postmarked red "Reading Mass., Feb 14" cds, to Greenland N.H., includes original 4-page handwritten Valentine poem on hand color gold gilt letter sheet; also includes a second handwritten Valentine, this one apparently from another of the addressee's admirers, Very Fine; with 1987 P.F. certificate.

1851, 1¢ blue, type II, tied by two strikes of blue "Louisville, Ky., Feb 13" cds on a spectacular green folder with gold gilt embossed border on front and silver gilt on reverse; adhered inside, and revealed when the folder is opened, is the original lace Valentine; stamp with a slightly nicked corner, very light indication of address eradication, which does not detract, Very Fine.

1852, 1¢ blue, type IV, three singles, each with rich color with margins to slightly in, tied by two strikes of "Andover Mass. Feb 12" cds, right two with additional manuscript "X" cancels, on large embossed valentine envelope to Haverhill Mass., additional strike of cds and matching "10" handstamp and manuscript "Due" at top left, large embossed valentine enclosure with multicolor flowers and small oval mirror (cracked), Very Fine and attractive.
