1863, 2¢ Black, Post Office fresh original gum, lightly hinged, virtually perfect centering amid uncommonly large and beautifully balanced margins, rich deep color on bright paper, nice even and full perforations, Extremely Fine to Superb, a stunning mint gem, one of five examples to obtain this grade with none higher; with 2003 P.F. and 2007 P.S.E. certificates, the latter Graded (XF-Sup 95, SMQ $3,000).

Express, Horintas" oval company handstamp, red manuscript "Sept 11, 66" docketing at left, Extremely Fine; with 1996 P.F. certificate.

York Am. Pkt., Paid, May 14" exchange cds, magenta manuscript "32" and red "1d" handstamp credit markings, reverse with red London (5.27), blue Hong Kong (6.22) and Shanghae (6.28) cds's; cover missing most of backflap, Very Fine, ex-Gibson, Skinner.
