Postal History, The Pennsylvanian, 1795-1889, exhibit collection of Post Offices of the same name as the Railroad Station stops located on the New York to Chicago route of The Pennsylvanian, through the six states; 30 Covers, mostly stampless with a wide variety of markings; including 1795 Bishop's mark on 10¢ rate Philadelphia to NY, 1799 New York clam shell with 12½¢ rate to Philadelphia, 1806 Harrisburg Tin Hat on "Free" franking to Columbia, PA, 1829 double lined boxed Cleveland, OH, 25¢ rate to New York etc; each cover with description and in order by Mile # of stop from New York through to Chicago 925 miles, interesting group, please inspect, F.-V.F.
