THE ONLY RECORDED MULTIPLE OF THE 1859 12¢ PLATE III ISSUE IN NEVER HINGED CONDITION.

Only two never singles have ever been certified by the Philatelic Foundation in never hinged condition, one of which is the sole never hinged example sold by Siegel Auctions.

This essay design has the same light design guidelines as one of the rare 90¢ black trial colors that still retains the working die guidelines.
