France, 1850, Ceres, 10c greenish bister, tête-bêche, vertical pair, margin ample to in on two sides on one stamp, slight crease mostly between stamp ending in small tear, in combination with 1849, Ceres, 40c orange on yellowish, horizontal pair (in at left) on cover to Issoudun, tied by diamond grid cancels with "Moulins-S-Allier, 24 Juil, 54" origin cds, transit and receiving backstamps, stamps lifted and hinged back in place, Fine appearance, an extremely rare on cover usage of the 10c First Issue in tête-bêche format; with 2007 Roumet certificate. Maury No. 1c+5 €52,500 ($55,700).
