Mexico, 1868, Hidalgo (thin figures, imperf), 12c black on green, Tabasco, cons 39-69 error for 38-68, large margin stamp tied to folded letter by brown Comalcalco oval (Schatzkes 1562, Taylor TB-4/1), F.-V.F., a rare district error overprint.

Mexico, 1868, Hidalgo (thin figures, imperf & perf'd), 25c blue on pink, nice group of fourteen Stone A (slate blue) stamps, different districts, cons 10-68 Morelia is unused (scarce) and two of the scarce imperforates are present (18-69 and 20-69), best districts: Tulancingo, Tula de Tamaulipas, Tixtla and Huejutla, generally F.-V.F. or better (Follansbee $598).

Mexico, 1868, Hidalgo (thin figures, imperf), 25c blue on pink, Orizava, cons 18-69, Stone A (slate blue) tied to cover to Veracruz by Orizava boxed date stamp, Very Fine, only three districts received Stone A stamps with "69" and they are quite scarce (also imperforate, unlike the "68" Stone A stamps), a cover can be considered rare.

Mexico, 1868, Hidalgo (thin figures, imperf), 100c black on brown, vertical pair, Chihuahua, cons 21-69, tied on folded letter by two Mexico cds, to Veracruz, Very Fine, stamps catalog $400 each in Follansbee and the pair, which has four margins, may be unique, ex-Burrus and Schatzkes.

Mexico, 1868, Hidalgo (thin figures, imperf), 100c black on brown, Cordova, in combination with 1868, 50c black on yellow, three singles + 12c black on green + 6c black on buff all Cordova cons 20-69 (Scott 49, 59, 46), tied on piece by Cordova oval handstamps (Schatzkes 189), light crease affecting 100c single and one in pair, still Very Fine, a striking and unique four-color franking showpiece (NF $1,975 as singles); with 1983 Jaretzky and 2005 MEPSI certificates.
