1869, 2¢ brown, without grill, o.g., lightly hinged, nicely centered amid uncommonly wide margins for this variety, brilliant color and exceptionally fresh, Very Fine for this, a very rare without grill variety with approximately a dozen examples known including a block of four, many many of which are faulty and/or cutting into the design; with 1995 and 2010 P.F. certificates.
